Ridgefield, NJ - RaceDates announces "Phase 2" of their web site which offers services to athletes, race directors and event promoters. A fresh look and many new features will greet visitors to this popular site, most notably is the new online registration feature being provided via a partnership with Sign me up Sports. Another major new feature is the Club search capability. According to Scott Langan, Co-Founder and VP of Creative Development at RaceDates, "Most athletes who have been training for a while know the local scene pretty well. This new function should be of great benefit to athletes who move around either for job or school reasons, and for those just starting out in a sport."
Visitors to the site will find a simple to use "Search Calendar", developed exclusively by RaceDates, which allows them to select the date, location, type of event, and distance they wish to compete in. Events that can be searched at the site include running, road bike, mountain bike, swimming, and multi-sport events such as triathlon, duathlon and adventure races. After an initial search the user is first presented with a summary report. All events matching their search criteria are listed providing their date, location and event name. Complete details including entry fee, course description, awards & amenities, can be found by selecting a particular event. Also available are interactive maps of the race location as well as the latest feature, online registration. "The addition of online registration was the next logical step in our service offering.
